Children Believe, in collaboration with Participatory Action for Rural Development Alternatives (PARDA), has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre in Abulu, located in the Kassena-Nankana West District of the Upper East Region. The fully furnished facility, aimed at catering to children between four to five years old, is equipped with classrooms, teachers' offices, lavatories, and a playground with various play equipment.

Funded by Children Believe at an estimated cost of GH¢650,000.00, this Ecd Centre is the sixth project initiated by Children Believe in the Upper East Region and the 27th facility constructed across all its operational areas within three years.

Mrs. Esenam Kavi De Souza, the Country Director of Children Believe, emphasized the importance of early childhood education in providing a conducive environment for children to learn. She highlighted the significant impact of such facilities in improving the quality of education and increasing enrollment numbers.

Expressing gratitude for the initiative, Dr. Michael Wombeogo, the Executive Director of PARDA, underscored the organization's commitment to addressing the needs of communities in the Kassena-Nankana West and Builsa North Municipalities. He outlined various developmental projects undertaken, including the construction of Child Welfare Centres, boreholes, and furniture for schools.

Pastor Ebenezer Ayiwuuri, the Head Teacher of Abulu Primary School, lauded the establishment of the ECD Centre, emphasizing its importance in providing a safe and conducive learning environment for young children. He described the previous infrastructure as inadequate and expressed relief at the newly constructed facility, which symbolizes hope and opportunity for the community's youth.
