The Career Services Centre of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), in collaboration with the German Embassy, recently organized a seminar titled ‘Time with the CEOs' for selected student groups. The aim of the seminar was to equip KNUST students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the construction industry.

According to Mrs. Selina Angmor, the Director of the Centre, the seminar aimed to bridge the skills gap between academia and industry while serving as a hub for career advancement opportunities for students and alumni. She emphasized the Centre's role in nurturing professional competencies and shaping career paths, urging students to seize the learning opportunities provided during the seminar.

Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, highlighted the university's mandate to train students for the industry, encouraging them to learn how to transition effectively into the world of work.

The German Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Daniel Krull, expressed his satisfaction with the strong working relationship between KNUST and the Embassy. During the seminar, Mr. Noble Bediako, the Managing Director of MC-Bauchemie, shared insights into the construction industry and highlighted opportunities available at MC-Bauchemie for KNUST students. He emphasized the importance of the right mindset and attitude towards work, advising graduates to exhibit efficiency, attention to detail, and a high level of emotional intelligence.

The seminar included a Question-and-Answer session followed by a cocktail session, allowing participants to engage with the guests, network, and share their concerns about the world of work. The event provided valuable insights and networking opportunities for KNUST students as they prepare for their future careers.
