St. Augustine’s College launches global fundraising for exclusive movie project

St. Augustine's College is set to launch a global fundraising campaign for its exclusive Movie project titled “The Day the Music Stopped,” on Friday, April 19. The movie aims to celebrate the heroic story of the school's 50th-anniversary event, during which a vehicle tragically struck students on a float.

According to a statement signed by Eric Atta Sono, General Secretary of APSU NEC, the documentary feature film will honour the silent memories and experiences of the unsung heroes of St. Augustine's College during its Golden Jubilee Anniversary in 1980.

The launch event will offer patrons an exclusive sneak peek and the opportunity to be among the first in the world to view the movie trailer. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the visionaries behind the project, including the award-winning director, talented scriptwriter, official project voice, and inspiring cast members from home and abroad.

Special guests expected at the event include the College Patron, the Headmaster, and the APSU Global President. Additionally, the movie director, project voice, surviving victims, witnesses, and Honorable APSUnians will be in attendance.

Old students, corporate bodies, and stakeholders are invited to contribute to bringing the project to life. The event will be streamed live on Zoom, Facebook, and Instagram, ensuring global participation and support for this significant endeavour.
