Come out with realistic plans on power outages- Abu Kansangbata

Mr. Abu Kansangbata, a former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, has urged the government to implement realistic plans to alleviate the plight of Ghanaians experiencing intermittent power outages, commonly referred to as “Dumsor.”

In a statement addressed to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, Mr. Kansangbata emphasized the urgent need for the government to provide a comprehensive timetable to address the Dumsor crisis. He highlighted that such a timetable would offer clarity and predictability to businesses and individuals, allowing them to plan their daily activities effectively.

According to Mr. Kansangbata, having access to a reliable timetable would mitigate the adverse effects of power outages on productivity and economic stability. Despite assurances from the government, he noted that the reality on the ground painted a grim picture, with Dumsor exacerbating challenges faced by citizens and businesses.

The impact of Dumsor, Mr. Kansangbata emphasized, is felt across all sectors of society, leading to increased production costs for businesses and disruptions in daily activities for households. He stressed the importance of citizens demanding accountability and effective solutions from their leaders.

Mr. Kansangbata's criticism serves as a call for meaningful dialogue and urgent action to address the pressing challenges in Ghana's power supply.
