Police arrest suspected murderer of Professor Adu Boahen’s son

The Police have apprehended a suspected murderer in connection with the death of Dr. Christopher Adu Boahen, the son of the late Professor Adu Boahen, a stalwart of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Dr. Christopher Adu Boahen's body was discovered in his room on March 17, 2024. The Police Service, in a press release signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, identified the suspect as Mark Forson.

According to the release, the police received a complaint from relatives of the deceased on March 17, 2024, indicating that Dr. Adu Boahen had been found dead in his room under suspicious circumstances. In response, a team of Police investigators and crime scene experts promptly visited the scene to initiate an investigation, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

The release further stated that the suspect is currently in custody and will be presented before the court as the investigation progresses.
