Base Estates Group, a construction firm, has contributed to improving Sanitation in Accra by donating sanitation tools to the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). The donation, consisting of wheelbarrows, shovels, wellington boots, rakes, and gloves, aims to enhance sanitation efforts in the sub-metropolitan districts.

The equipment, totalling 480 tools, was distributed to each assembly member across the 20 Electoral Areas under the jurisdiction of the AMA. Mr. Korankye Ankrah, the Project Manager of Base Estates, emphasized the company's commitment to supporting the electoral areas due to its longstanding relationship with the assembly members. Additionally, the company's presence in various electoral areas served as a motivation for the donation, aimed at promoting cleanliness and improving public health.

Mr. Ankrah underscored the importance of collective efforts in transforming Accra into the cleanest city in Africa, highlighting the impact of climate change on sanitation and public health. He urged the beneficiaries to utilize the tools effectively to enhance sanitation practices and mitigate the spread of diseases, especially during unpredictable weather conditions.

Expressing gratitude, Mr. Musah Ziyad, the Assembly Member for Amamomo Electoral Area, acknowledged Base Estates' continuous support and engagement in sanitation initiatives. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the donated tools to ensure their longevity and effectiveness in ongoing sanitation efforts.

Mr. Ziyad assured continued collaboration between the AMA and Base Estates Group to further improve sanitation and contribute to the transformation of Accra.
