Tidal Rave Festival organizers secure Ghana Police support for 10th edition

The team behind the 2023 Tidal Rave Festival has met with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the Ghana Police Service, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, to discuss security arrangements for this year's festival.

The meeting, held in the IGP's office, concluded with the Ghana Police Service pledging its support to ensure the security and safety of festival attendees.

Tidal Rave Festival, known for its vibrant youth cultural celebrations, is making its return to mark its 10th edition in Ghana. The festival, scheduled for October 14, 2023, in Ghana and later in December in Liberia, promises an immersive and unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts under the theme “The New Rave.”

Over the past nine editions, the festival has featured A-list musicians such as Sarkodie, Black Sherif, R2Bees, Joey B, KiDi, Medikal, La Meme Gan, Gyakie, Kwesi Arthur, and more. For its 10th edition, the festival is gearing up to showcase another stellar lineup of musical talents.

Bright Ayaaba, the Chief Operating Officer of EchoHouse Ghana Limited, the organizers of the Tidal Rave Festival, expressed gratitude to the IGP and the Ghana Police Service for their commitment to providing support for the event.

He stated, “This year, we are celebrating the 10th edition of the festival in Ghana, and we want Ravers to have an ultimate experience.”

Mr Ayaaba emphasized that the festival aims to offer new and exciting experiences that resonate with the passions of young Ghanaians and Africans as a whole.

Since its inception in 2012, the Tidal Rave Festival has become synonymous with Spring Break for young West Africans. Combining road trips, unique experiences, and concerts, the festival has grown to become the largest youth event in West Africa, with editions held in Ghana and Liberia.

As a cultural cornerstone, the Tidal Rave Festival continually breaks traditional youth experience norms, paving the way for new avenues of enjoyment for young Africans.
