NPP presidential aspirants vetting: Kennedy Agyapong, Boakye Agyarko, and Kwabena Agyepong take turns today

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is set to proceed with the Vetting process for its presidential aspirants today, July 4, as the party gears up for the highly anticipated 2024 polls.

Among the candidates to undergo scrutiny today are Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Boakye Kyeremateng Agyarko, former Energy Minister, and Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, a former NPP General Secretary.

Yesterday, July 3, the presidential vetting committee interviewed current Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, a former Minister of Trade, and Businessman Kwadwo Poku.

Following his vetting by the committee led by Prof. Mike Oquaye in Accra, Mr. Kyerematen revealed an innovative approach to constituency tours.

He intends to cluster constituencies, bringing party executives together not only within their own constituencies but also in other constituencies within the cluster.

This strategy aims to foster collaboration and coordination among party members, enhancing grassroots support and engagement.

Businessman Kwadwo Poku expressed optimism and confidence in sailing through the vetting process, as he presented his vision and plans for the party's future.

The vetting process will continue tomorrow, with the remaining candidates to be interviewed.

Among them are Joe Ghartey, a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto, a former Minister of Agriculture, and Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, a former Member of Parliament for Offinso North.
