The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has taken into custody two individuals who were close associates of Osei Michael, also known as Emeka, the barber accused of the brutal murder of his 18-year-old girlfriend, Abigail Asare.

The tragic incident occurred in Akyem Nsutam near Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region.

Reports indicate that Emeka allegedly stabbed his girlfriend, Abigail, on Thursday after she visited him following a school break enforced by her institution.

Acting upon reliable sources, the police apprehended the friends on Sunday as part of their ongoing investigations aimed at capturing Emeka, who has been evading arrest since the heinous act was committed.

The Kyebi Divisional Police, tirelessly conducting a manhunt for the suspect, Emeka, remain determined to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice and bring the perpetrator to face the full force of the law.
