Fiapre, a town located in the Sunyani West Municipality, witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a state-of-the-art library and Ict Complex. Obrempong Professor Kyem Amponsah II, the Chief of Fiapre, led the ceremony, marking the beginning of this significant project.

Once completed, the GH¢20 million venture will not only support research activities conducted by universities but also provide students and pupils with access to ICT resources, facilitating their studies and advancement in the field.

The development of this facility aligns with the Chief's vision to promote academic progress and excellence in the community.

Obrempong Prof. Amponsah II, who also serves as the Vice-Chancellor of the Ghana Telecommunications Technology University, emphasized the crucial role that ICT plays in the educational development of any developing nation.

He urged the government to prioritize the study of ICT and Encouraged Students in the area to cultivate an interest in the subject, considering it as a lifelong career.

Moreover, the Chief advised students to shun unhealthy lifestyles and focus on their education. By studying diligently, they can become responsible adults and assume key positions in the country's future.

Madam Justina Owusu-Banahene, the Bono Regional Minister, lauded the Chief for his dedication and contribution to advancing education in the region. She encouraged students to take advantage of the Free Senior High School program, enabling them to achieve remarkable academic accomplishments.

Mr Bright Adzaku, the CEO of Beyond Gold Construction, the firm responsible for executing the project, assured that the work would be completed within the designated 12-month period. The complex will feature a canteen, offices, storage spaces, discussion rooms, conference rooms, and separate male and female washrooms.
