The Reliance owner, Mukesh Ambani has signed a massive deal with Warner Bros Discovery Inc. to feature popular Hollywood content including HBO shows like GOT (Games of Thrones) on their Jio Cinema platform.

The final deal outcome has not been announced yet, but the deal has not come to the fore yet. However, this deal marks a major development for the reliance company and the fans will get access to popular movies and shows such as the famous show Succession, the lord of the Rings, the Game of Thrones, and the great series of Harry Potter according to a joint statement by the companies.

Viacom18 said, now they believe that Warner Bros Discovery sets the global standards for developing premium content and this partnership allows us to create the best and the all-inclusive destination for our users. As a result of this deal, Jio Cinema’s integration into Viacom18 has also been completed.

Jio cinema has a large share of the Indian OTT market, and now they are planning to release as many as 100 movies and shows that are produced at a cost of INR 2000 crore over the next years. Moreover, the platform has already gained much recognition by broadcasting the IPL for free on its cinema app. Jio Cinema states that he saw 5 crores of new downloads of apps during the cricket tournament. And the OTT platform said that it clocked over 147 crore video views during the first weekend which attracted 10 crore new viewers.
