Chalaki Chanti completed his schooling at a private school in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
After his schooling, Chalaki Chanti joined the Mahavidyalaya Degree and PG College, Hyderabad to complete his graduation with a Bachelor’s of Commerce. But due to some financial problems, Chalaki Chanti left the college.

- He worked as a customer executive officer in Tata Indicom during the initial days of his career.
- He then worked as a manager in a guest house. It is during this time he attended Radio Mirchi auditions and got selected as a radio jockey. Vinay got an opportunity to host a program titled ‘Chanti Bank’ from which Chanti became his nickname.
- Chalaki Chanti used to perform mimicry to entertain people around him. It is with this talent he also worked part-time on Tank Bund tourism boats as a mimicry artist and started giving auditions for small roles in the movies side by side.
- Chalaki Chanti got an opportunity to act in a Tollywood movie titled ‘Jallu’ in the year 2009. He then got an opportunity to act in the movie ‘Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu’ which earned him recognition. Since then, he has been a part of over 80 to 90 films in Tollywood.
- In the year 2013, Chalaki Chanti got an opportunity to participate in Jabardasth as a team leader for the team titled Chalaki Chanti team. In the show, Chalaki Chanti played his first skit on the name Chalaki Chanti skit which has earned him wide recognition among the two Telugu States. Chalaki Chanti also hosted a show titled naa show Naa Ishtam on ETV Plus.
