Kasthuri is an Indian actress, model, and television presenter who works predominantly in the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada Film and television industries. Kasturi became famous to Telugu audiences by playing the role of Tulsi in a TV serial titled ‘Intinti Gruhalakshmi’ that is aired on Maa TV.

Kasturi early life

Kasturi was born on the first of May in the year 1974 and she is 48 years old as of 2022. 

Actress Kasthuri completed her schooling at a private school in Madras and later started modeling while she was in High School. 

Kasturi was the recipient of the Miss Madras title in 1992. She then got opportunities to work in Tamil films and her first debut film was ‘Aatha Un Koyilile’ (1991). 

Kasturi Marital status

Kasthuri married Ravi Kumar, a doctor in 2000. The couple was blessed with two children, a son, and a daughter. Her daughter had suffered from a dreadful disease Leukemia and gladly she survived that. 

Kasturi career

• Kasthuri started her acting debut with a film titled ‘Aatha Un Koyilile’ in 1991. She has gained a following and recognition with her acting skills that projected her from working in small Tamil films to working in commercially successful movies like Indian alongside the popular actor Kamal Hassan (1996).

• Kasthuri has gained attention from everyone with her genius acting skills in Annamayya (1997). Apart from having impressive acting skills, Kasturi is also a talented dance performer and she has received critical acclaim for her dance performance in the movie title Kadhal Kavithai (1998).

• Kasturi has also been a part of a 30-minute documentary film, Kasthuri: A South Indian Film Star. This documentary film was released as a tribute to her successful career in the film industry. 

• Actress Kasthuri has taken a long career gap after she got married as the couple settled in the United States of America.

So after her comeback, Kasturi hosted a television-based quiz show in 2010 and worked on ‘Vinai Vidai Vettai’ for Puthuyugam TV. 

Kasthuri got an opportunity to participate in Bigg Boss Tamil in 2018, and she rejected it. But Kasthuri joined the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil in 2019 as a wild card entry contestant. 

After coming out of Bigg Boss house, Kasthuri got an opportunity to act in a TV serial called ‘Intinti Gruhalakshmi’ that is very close and popular among the Telugu audience.
