Nasarawa Assembly Commission set for employment, Screens over 100 Casual Staff

Nasarawa State House of Assembly Service Commission, has commenced the screening of over 100 Casual Staff of the State House of Assembly, to be absorbed into the main stream of the civil service in the State.

Hon Yusuf Ibrahim Wamba, the Permanent Member One of the Commission stated this during the screening exercise at the State Ministry For Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in Lafia today.

He disclosed that Gov. Abdullahi Sule has given an approval for the absorption of over 100 Casual staff into main stream civil service, hence the need for the screening exercise to finalized the process.

The Permanent Member One assured that only casual staff of the assembly will be given the appointments as directed by the Speaker Rt.Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.

” I want to assure you that only the casual staff will be absorbed into the main stream civil service

“We are here to screen the casual staff by screening their credentials among other requirements.

” As His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has approved the absorption of the casual staff into permanent and pensionable appointments and the Rt.Hon Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe has given us go ahead to carry out the exercise warning strongly that only casual staff of the House should be be screen for the exercise ,” he said.

He said that the screening is only for casual staff as approved by Gov. Abdullahi Sule.

” There is no outsider that is here for the screening , people that you are seeing here are all casual staff that are working with the State House of Assembly,” he said.

The Permanent Member one also appreciated Gov. Abdullahi Sule for the approval and commended the Speaker for the gesture.

He called on the casual staff to continue to be dedicated to their duties .

Also Speaking, the Secretary of the Commission, Hon Mohammed Musa Ohinoyi ( General) also corroborated with the submission of the Permanent Member one that only casual staff will be given the permanent and pensionable appointments.

Musa Ohinoyi called on the beneficiaries if finally engaged to justify their appointments and reciprocate the gesture through commitment to duties and hard work.

Some of the beneficiaries interviewed expressed happiness that their dreams are gradually being achieved and thanked the State Governor and the Speaker for coming to their rescue after they have served for many years as casual staff.
