BIHAR/NEW DELHI: Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Manoj Kumar Jha has said that the speculations over creation of a new Body that will supersede the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) are rife as BJP wants to use such new institutions to accommodate its “retired or retiring sycophant officers” to frame the leaders of Opposition parties including I.N.D.I.A front as state elections approach.

Jha made these remarks while commenting upon the Supreme Court’s decision to not extend any service to ED’s incumbent director Sanjay Mishra, whose tenure saw the high-profile questioning of Rahul Gandhi, Manish Sisodia and Tejaswi Yadav.

“I have heard that Sanjay Mishra has so much information on PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah that they will be forming another body for him, since the Supreme Court will not allow him to continue beyond the September 15 extension deadline.”

He added that the body will be called the Central Investigative Organisation (CIO) under which the ED and the CBI will operate.

Jha said Mishra’s work will be to frame Opposition leaders to engage them in Court Cases.

“His work will be to trouble the states ruled by opposition parties and ministers so that the INDIA alliance stays busy with court cases and it becomes a tad easier for them (BJP) to win the elections.”

Jha’s comments come at a time when CBI has opposed the bail given by Jharkhand high court to his party’s leader and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav in the multi-crore fodder scam.
