New Delhi: A video posted by former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, in which he is seen enjoying a fish meal, has sparked controversy. The video, shared on his social media account, drew criticism from BJP leaders and social media influencers who accused him of hurting Hindu sentiments by eating fish during Navratri.

However, Yadav clarified that the video was recorded on April 8, a day before the start of Navratri. In the video, Yadav is seen traveling in a helicopter with Mukesh Sahni. “We are currently with Mukesh Sahni. After a full day of canvassing, we have ten to fifteen minutes to have lunch. Mukesh ji brought lunch for us, which included fish. The fish is very tasty,” Yadav said in the video message.

He then asked Sahni to tell the viewers about the quality of the fish. Sahni explained that it was a unique fish, known as ‘Chenchva’, found only in Mithilanchal. “We have a few minutes to have food. That’s why we are having our lunch on the chopper. I know that after watching this video, a few people will get angry at us for eating fish. I would ask them not to envy us,” said Sahni.

Yadav later posted another message stating that the video was intentionally posted to test the IQ of the BJP and its IT cell members. “We uploaded this video to test the IQ of the BJP and Godi media followers, and our suspicions were proven right. The tweet mentions a particular date, but what do the poor blind followers know? In the end, Sahni ji also mentioned that they (BJP) would envy us,” read his post.
