Memories for lifetime!

“Every poet and artist gathers a few memories in their life. Those moments reiterate in our minds and thrill us again and again. I have had many such experiences in my life. But the greatest experience of all was when I wrote a Song for the movie ‘Daksha’.

I wrote hundreds of poems and published several books so far. But the struggle I went through while writing the song for the movie ‘Daksha’, the quest I went through while literalizing the scene, the hustle I went through in the search of words, the struggle I went through for the song with sleepless nights was profoundly precious and pure. And that too, satisfying the Music Director, Director, and Producer with my style of knitting words with the tune was truly a never before moment of my life.

My first movie song was ‘Savalu Ninnu Thaki Chuttu Mutte Chudara’ from ‘Okkade’ (2021). Though it was the first time, I didn’t really struggle much with it. Later, I wrote 5 songs for a devotional movie, ‘Kaliyuga Bhagavan’, followed by Anthimasamaram, Kaalamega Karigindi, Kalavaramaye Madilo, and Varadhi among many others. I would say penning lyrics for a movie named Daksha was challenging and satisfying.

Director Vivekananda Vikrant narrated the entire story of the movie. I was told that the whole narration of the film shall be experienced in the song. Moreover, there is only one song for the entire movie. So they want it to be more promising. It is yet to be released to the public. When the song was recorded, soon I made my parents listen to it. They were extremely happy with the way it turned out. I consider this to be a great achievement and a fantastic experience in my life. That’s why I have a special place for this movie song in my literary career.

Few songs make us happy. Though it is a tedious process, I would say ultimately it is all worth it in the end. When you write lyrics for such difficult scenes and songs, you feel the pride as if you have done many adventures!”
