BJP wants to “spread confusion”: Tejashwi Yadav on criticism over Bihar Krishi road map

Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav has criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party for wanting to “spread confusion” among the public with regard to the recently released fourth agriculture Road Map of the State.
President Droupadi Murmu had on Wednesday inaugurated the state’s fourth agriculture road map aimed at enhancing agriculture production in Patna. In her address, she stated that agriculture is an important part of the folk culture of Bihar and the basis of its economy.
BJP leaders Sushil Modi and Vijay Kumar Sinha targeted the State government on the Krishi road map stating that previous three road maps have failed to improve farming conditions in the state.

Tejashwi Yadav told “Every Krishi Road Map has an action plan and a budget is allocated and everyone knows that production of rice, vegetables and fruits has increased in Bihar. BJP wants to spread confusion among the people. This is the sole work of opposition in Bihar these days. There are different factions in the BJP itself. There is a lot of tussle going on amongst themselves on who will be the leader of BJP in Bihar. They are competing among themselves on who will lie how much.”
While launching the Krishi road map President Murmu said that farmers of Bihar are known for adopting new experiments in farming noting that a Nobel laureate economist had called the farmers of Nalanda “greater than scientists”.
“As a result of the implementation of the last three agricultural road maps, the productivity of paddy, wheat and maize in the state has almost doubled. Bihar has also become a leading state in the production of mushrooms, honey, makhana (fox nuts) and fish. The launch of the fourth Agriculture Road Map is an important step towards taking this effort forward,” President Murmu said.
The President urged farmers of Bihar to take advantage of the rising demand for organic products.
“Organic farming is helpful in reducing the cost of agriculture and environment conservation. It is also capable of increasing the farmers’ income and providing nutritious food to the people. The Government of Bihar has created an organic corridor in the districts along the banks of the Ganga to boost organic farming,” she added. (ANI)
