K Kavitha Calls for Rejection of Controversial Film ‘Razakar’ Amidst Political Turmoil

K Kavitha, a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) politician, has urged Telangana residents to’reject’ the Telugu film ‘Razakar,’ which has been a fresh source of disagreement between the BJP and the ruling BRS since the publication of its trailer.

Since its inception in 2014, Telangana has been noted for its communal harmony, serenity, and lack of communal unrest, according to Kavitha. She expressed anxiety that the film may break this peace.

The BRS MLC chastised the BJP for making a Film that she feels will divide the public and provoke emotions, especially in the run-up to the state elections.

On September 17, the trailer for the film “Razakar” was released, coinciding with Hyderabad’s freedom day. The trailer, which shows purported Razakar crimes against Hindus under the Nizam’s era, has caused intense arguments and controversy among lawmakers.

Kavitha’s views mirror fears that such films might be used to incite communal tensions before of elections, a pattern that has been observed in numerous regions of India in recent years.
