Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, addressing with Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy at a public meeting in Jalpally, Maheshwaram assembly seat, complimented Telangana’s substantial achievement over the last nine years. He positioned the state as the best in India and underlined the government’s dedication to safeguarding the well-being of its residents, particularly the poor.

During the occasion, 313 Shadi Mubarak scheme checks, 180 sewing machines, and 80 battery-powered rickshaws were presented to recipients, demonstrating the government’s commitment to helping all segments of society.

The Home Minister emphasized that the welfare of the poor remained a key concern for Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s (KCR) government. A huge sum of Rs 9,163 Crore has been dedicated to minority welfare during the last nine years, a significant increase over the Rs 1,200 crore spent on the same cause during the unified Andhra Pradesh era.

A total of Rs 2,200 crore has been made aside in the current budget for minority welfare. The Shadi Mubarak Scheme has given Rs 2,225 crore to facilitate the weddings of 2.65 lakh poor Muslim females. The Shadi Mubarak program has contributed Rs 61 crore in the Maheshwaram constituency alone.

Furthermore, the Home Minister stated that 10,000 additional minority persons will soon receive cheques under the second phase of the Rs 1 million relief plan. Furthermore, 29,743 students have received Rs 438.65 crore in international scholarships, allowing them to pursue further education.

The Home Minister proudly asserted that no other state in the country can match Telangana’s exceptional welfare programmes for minority populations.

The ceremony, which was attended by Minority Finance Corporation Chairman Ishaq Imtiaz and other dignitaries, emphasized the government’s commitment to bettering the lives of its residents and promoting fair development throughout the state.
