AAP entry into Gujarat’s poll battle will help BJP, hit the Congress hard: Shrawan Garg

While reacting over the strategy being adopted by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) led by Chief Minister Delhi Arvind Kejriwal in upcoming Gujarat elections, Shrawan Garg the senior Journalist said, “The primary objective of the AAP in Gujarat is to dislodge the Congress party completely from the state. BJP need not to worry about AAP’s advancement.”

While taking part in a debate on a new channel today over the political situation in Gujarat especially with regard to AAP’s entry into the poll foray, he said,  the AAP is claiming to have increased voting share from 2 to 4 percent in Gujarat. However, what is important is the volume of actual voting percentage it enjoys earlier. Where is the question of increasing percentage when the party does not exist in Gujarat so far.

“I don’t think that AAP will focus on making a resounding gain in the upcoming Gujarat elections,” he said adding that, “the party will try only to dislodge the Congress and confine itself to win those seats from where the BJP has registered victory with less than ten thousand votes during the last elections. This is the space that the AAP will try to occupy in Gujarat elections.”

Asserting that the AAP will not leave an impressive impact here in Gujarat and even it appeared that the party is not in hurry, he said, “What AAP will do now is to make its position stronger enough to face the polls in the year 2024. Whatever the gain the party will registered in Gujarat is sufficient enough for the AAP to realise its presence while the parties really have to face issues are the Congress and the BJP but For the AAP it is something like “Bhagte Chor Ki Languti Hi Sahi.”

“Presntly we have to keep track of the political trend in Gujarat as the situation is keep on evolving every moment making the contest more complex this time and the whole scenario is quite challenging even for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who it appeared that individually trying to control the situation by visiting the state frequently or sending Home Minister Amit Shah,” explained Shrawan Garg.
