The police in Hyderabad issued a traffic advisory during the president’s visit

The Hyderabad police have issued a traffic alert ahead of India’s vice president Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu’s March 26 visit to Narayanguda, Hyderabad.

On Saturday, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will pay a visit to Patel Hall, Keshav Memorial, Narayanaguda.

According to the press release, traffic will be stopped or diverted due to security reasons at the following locations: From Jubilee Hills via Jubilee Hills Check Post, NTR Bhavan, Sri Nagar T Junction, NFCL, Taj Krishna, Ansari Manzil, KCP, RTO Office – VV Statue, Khairtabad flyover, Rotary – NTR ghat, Telugu Thalli, Ambedkar Statue, Liberty, Himay

After the presentation concludes at 7:00 p.m., the Vice President will return through the same path as described above.

Telangana police: no traffic challan discount after March

On Friday, the city’s traffic joint Commissioner of Police, AV Ranganath, stated that the traffic challan discount will not be offered in April.

Ranganath stated in a news conference that to date, Rs. 1.85 crore in traffic challans have been processed, with Rs. 190 crore received from these challans.

He added that the option to pay cheaper challans would be phased out on March 31.

The plan introduced by the state government’s traffic police branch has received an enormous reaction from traffic rule offenders. The traffic police are clearing 1,000 challans per minute, according to the police.

The public was allowed the full month of March to clear their traffic challans at a reduced rate.

The mega discount offer’ by the police in the capital region got a big response, with individuals from the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda police limits clearing approximately 1.6 million pending traffic challans worth Rs.115 crore in under 20 days.

According to officials, 63 lakh traffic challans totalling Rs.49.6 crore were cleared in the Hyderabad Police limits, while 38 lakh overdue challans totalling Rs.45.8 crore were cleared in the Cyberabad Police limits. In Rachakonda, the largest commissionerate in terms of acreage and jurisdiction, 16 lakh outstanding challans worth Rs.17.6 crores were cleared.
