Class 10 girl leaves Shashi Tharoor stunned with words even he doesn’t know!

Shashi Tharoor, the MP from Congress, is infamous for his affluence in the English language and the rich set of vocabulary he owns. The MP is often seen enlightening people with words they have never heard of in their lives. With words like ‘Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia’, ‘Snollygoster’, and many others to his fame, one may believe that no one can counter him. However, there is a 10th grader in the country who left even Shashi Tharoor asking for the meaning of the word she uttered, which is much longer than the one mentioned above!

This Class 10 student is a girl belonging to the Idukki of Kerala and left Mr. Tharoor impressed with her English skills when she introduced him to a few of such words. This took place during a Club FM show that had Diya as the featured guest in an interview with RJ Rafi and Shashi Tharoor as the surprise chief guest.

During the virtual interview, Diya is seen speaking to RJ Rafi regarding her respect and admiration for Mr. Tharoor and her love for English, before he makes the appearance.

The Zoom segment of the show then shows Mr. Tharoor as a surprise to Diya who seems visibly delighted and flabbergasted at his appearance. The show then brings to light an earlier message of the 10th grader to Mr. Tharoor, requesting him to pronounce a tremendously long word.

When the prowess starts saying the extensively crowded word, Mr. Tharoor is left stunned as for the first time ever, he seems to be unaware of the word spoken so effortlessly by the 14-year-old.

After the tongue-twisting word gets completed, the MP smiles and asks her the meaning of the word. Diya then tells him that it implies a fictional food item filled with sauces and more.

Mr. Tharoor congratulates the girl on her brilliant power and command over the English language along with her unmatched memory. He says, “It is not a small thing to remember and repeat the word. Everyone wouldn’t be able to do it. She has memory power. She has the concentration. My advice is, learn such long words which you can make use of.”

Even though the internet breaks leave Diya unable to fully convey her gratefulness for his appreciation, the student must have rejoiced later on as the parliamentarian shared her story and a link to the interview on Twitter.

Mr. Tharoor wrote, “Wonderful story of brilliant 10th-grader Diya, who has mastered tongue-twisting English words I’ve never heard of, & for whom I made a surprise appearance during a @clubfmkerala show on her prowess!”

The video has garnered thousands of likes, comments, and shares on the social networking handle, Facebook, posted by Club FM.

Many users praised the teenager’s skills through comments while others wished her for a bright future, “Spectacular”, wrote another user.

Mr. Tharoor has continued to introduce completely new words to the general public, especially super-long ones, which many did not know existed. These include words like Gonzo, Muliebrity, Sesquipedalian, Floccinaucinihilipilification, Lalochezia, Kakistocracy, Rodomontade, and more.
