Miffed Anuj Kumar returns to JD(U), BJP gets big blow

According to the recent developments, there seems to be a game of tiff between the Bharatiya Janata Party and Janata Dal (United). Even though both the parties share a partnership to contest in the Bihar elections against the Mahagathbandhan, the alliance doesn’t appear to be getting stronger. The rumors started taking stride when Anuj Kumar Singh, a former member of JD(U), joined BJP. The ex MLC of the party had taken the move during the time the party had joined hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for standing in the elections of the Assembly as one.

On 19th October, after Anuj Kumar Singh was handed over the membership of JD(U) by the party associates, the rumors began to gain more weight. On top of that, Mr. Singh was elected as the vice president of JD(U), which made the subject of the tiff more evident.

To facilitate the ‘gharwaapsi’ of Mr. Singh, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave the membership certificate to him with party’s state leader Vashishtha Narayan Singh and Cabinet Minister Ashok Chaudhary in attendance at the program organized at 1 Anne Marg.

The update was confirmed by the press handler and communicator of JD(U), Nishant Singh.

The jump of the newly elected vice president of JD(U) was due to BJP’s dismissal of his intentions of contesting for the Wazirganj seat with the party ticket. However, crushing his desires, BJP gave the ticket to former MLA Virendra Singh, instigating Mr. Singh to rebel.

Annoyed with BJP, he, thus, returned to JD(U) where he was presented his award for the actions.

The man in question belongs to the Naxal-hit region of Imamganj in the Gaya district of Bihar. The current Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar bestowed him the duty of helping former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. The latter has received the ticket from JD(U) to contest for the seat of Imamganj against his opponent Uday Narayan Chaudhary, a candidate of Mahagathbandhan.

Anuj Singh said that he will put all his efforts into making the elections fruitful for JD(U), adding that Nitish Kumar’s instructions will be duly followed.

It is worth noting that many RJD members are joining JN(U) and standing in the elections. The exchange, rather an influx, of the members from various parties to JN(U) will have a major effect in the elections of this year.

Amidst the changing ties and party candidates ahead of the Bihar elections, AIMIM President AsadUddinOwaisi said that none of the parties including Congress, RJD, and JD(U) have kept their promises and created a real development in Bihar in terms of employment and other factors.

With the Bihar elections taking new turns every day in terms of the members of each party changing their sides and opponents being quick to point out the disputes existing within parties, it will be interesting to watch the outcome of this bizarre scenario.
