As Director General, Development, Concepts & Doctrine at the Ministry of Defence, Chris Parry had national responsibility for determining the future security environment out to 2030.

His organisation maintained a world-class risk analysis and assessment facility, leading major conceptual studies into future requirements, operational scenarios and strategic priorities across all aspects of human activity.
 
Well known for his accurate and sometimes highly contrarian strategic forecasting, Dr Parry is a sought-after adviser to governments, leading corporations and major financial institutions about geopolitics, security and future strategic trends.
