In the year since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, 15 states have banned abortion in all or nearly all circumstances.

Alabama

Republican lawmakers also passed a law prohibiting abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy earlier this year. That law won’t, however, take effect until the Florida Supreme Court makes a decision in the case challenging the 15-week law.

Georgia

The law includes exceptions to save the life of the pregnant person or in cases of rape, incest or lethal fetal anomaly. Abortion providers filed a lawsuit in federal court earlier this month challenging the law, but the court has yet to rule.

North Dakota
