Flavor Flav Swaps ‘Friendship Bracelets’ With Taylor Swift Fans

Flavor Flav might be as Hip Hop as they come but he’s also one of the biggest Taylor Swift fans, and this weekend he stopped by one of the singer’s shows to watch the pop star at work.

The Public Enemy co-founder was at Detroit’s Ford Field on Friday (June 9) for the first of two shows Swift was performing at the venue as part of her Eras Tour, and he uploaded video footage on Twitter of himself connecting with his fellow Swifties.

In the clip, Flav, donning a large amount of colorful bracelets, can be seen swapping them with fans and posing to take a few pictures. He even made a request on Twitter for one fan to make custom ones for him so he can wear them during her next tour stop. “Make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it,” he tweeted.

In a previous video, Flavor Flav had no shame in his game as he vibed out to the singer’s 2012 track, “I Knew You Were Trouble.” He also sported a T-shirt emblazoned with the words: “I Knew She Was Trouble.” He further extended the meaning of his shirt by tweeting, “Making TROUBLE with my girl @taylorswift13 at the #ErasTour.”

This is not the first time Flavor Flav has shown his love for the pop superstar. In March, the 64-year-old joined his fellow artists at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards, where he donned a shirt with Taylor’s lyrics emblazoned on it as he walked the red carpet. Upon showing it off during a previous interview with iHeart, Flav unabashedly copped to being a Swiftie.

“Always love Taylor Swift’s music, you know what I’m saying,” he told the host. “[I’m a Swiftie] as you can tell! I’m here to support her! I’m here to support my girl.”

Flavor Flav then broke out his own rendition of “Bad Blood” to prove his fandom. “I ain’t got no bad blood today! I got the good blood, you know what I’m saying!” he laughed. “Word up! But yeah, I wanna meet her, too. One day.” His wish came true, posing for a selfie with the superstar singer later that night.

When he’s not showing love to Taylor Swift, Flavor Flav can be found supporting the union members of the Writer’s Guild of America. He joined the picket line last month by showing up at Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, California where fellow stars Quinta Brunson and Jason Sudeikis were also there to support.

“Glad to be here, glad to support. I got ya’ll back,” Flav said in a clip captured by TMZ. It was also reported he brought along 25 Prince Street pizzas, 100 burgers from Irv’s Burgers, and Liquid Death Water. And it was only right he briefly performed Public Enemy’s protest anthem, “Fight the Power.”
