Nepali Citizens stranded in Russia have now sought help from India instead of their own government to return to Nepal.
Some Citizens of India are also trapped in Russia and among them Nepali citizens are also now looking towards India with hope. Hundreds of citizens of Nepal were also misled and brought to Russia and are now being forced to fight against Ukraine. According to Nepal, six civilians have died. Although the Nepalese government has yet to take any concrete action to recall its citizens, Nepali citizens who want to return home from Russia have sought help from India.
In a video, a Nepalese citizen says, 'We have been brought here by fraud. We were told earlier, you have to work as helpers but now we are sent to fight on the front lines. Nepal Embassy is not helping us. Embassy of India is powerful and we hope India will help us. Three Indian nationals were also with us and they have been evacuated from here safely.
It may be mentioned that some citizens of India were also taken away by the agents in a similar manner by luring them to work as helpers in Russia. And they were forced to fight against Ukraine with the Russian army. Meanwhile, a young man from Hyderabad also died.
