China arrests chairman of consultancy firm, accused of spying for Britain

China has arrested the head of a major consultancy firm in its country on charges of spying for Britain.

China alleges that this man was spying for Britain. China's Intelligence Agency Ministry of State Security has given a statement in this regard and said that this person's name is Huang. However, China has not disclosed his other identity or his nationality.

According to the intelligence agency, Huang was working with Britain's spy agency MI6 since 2015. It was MI6 who instructed Huang to go to China. Huang has visited China several times to gather secret information. Huang was trained by MI6 and provided with sophisticated spy equipment. So that he can regularly provide information to MI6. By now, Huang has provided a lot of important information to Britain.

China's intelligence agency has said in its statement that Huang has been given consular access. However, no statement has been given from Britain regarding China's allegations.

China has been cracking down on foreign companies for the past few months. In May last year, China's intelligence agency raided the offices of a company called Capvision. The headquarters of this company are located in Shanghai and New York. At the same time, China closed the Beijing office of the American company Mintz Group and some of its employees were also questioned.
