Aksai China is located at a distance of 1604 km from India. In 1963, under an agreement, Pakistan handed over 5180 square kilometers of Pakistan occupied Kashmir to China. The area is located under the Kunlun Mountains in the northwest of the Tibetan Plateau.

India considers this agreement illegal

Although Pakistan has handed over 5180 square kilometers of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir to China, India considers this agreement illegal. India has repeatedly clarified to China regarding the 38,000 square kilometer area of ​​Aksai China that the area does not belong to China. But still China is occupying that area. Also, both India and China have not been able to find a solution to this dispute so far.
