- 4 people were killed in a terrorist attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday as well

Five policemen have been Killed in a bomb blast today in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. More than 20 people have been injured in this blast. The attack was carried out targeting the Police Protection Team. The attack took place when a police team on duty was being transported in a truck in an anti-polio campaign in Bajaur district. Meanwhile, five policemen have been killed in an IED blast. The injured have been shifted to Bajaur District Hospital for treatment. Many of the injured are in critical condition.

The place where the police team was targeted is Mamund area of Bajaur and this area is adjacent to the border with Afghanistan. Since the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan in 2021, attacks on this border with Afghanistan have increased in Pakistan. So far, no terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for this attack, but the Pakistani Taliban has carried out several attacks on polio vaccination campaigns before. In such a situation, the involvement of Pakistan Taliban in the recent case cannot be ruled out.
