The war that has erupted between Hamas and Israel has caused a sudden upheaval in Middle-Eastern diplomacy. All Muslim countries have given their reaction to the war that started on Saturday and blamed Israel for this war. All the Muslim countries like Saudi, Qatar, Pakistan condemned Israel and said that a separate state (two nation solution) should be established for the Palestinians. But two Islamic countries in the Middle-East have taken a different approach than the rest of the Muslim countries.

None of the responses from Muslim countries have so far targeted Hamas for attacks on Israel, but the UAE and Bahrain have shocked everyone by condemning Hamas.

All Muslim countries, including the UAE, Bahrain, once saw Israel as an 'untouchable' in the Middle East, wanting nothing to do with it. But as a result of US efforts, in September 2020 the UAE and Bahrain signed the Abraham Accords with Israel and established diplomatic relations with it. The UAE and Bahrain were among the first Arab countries to establish ties with Israel.

After 3 years of establishing diplomatic relations, now when the war between Hamas and Israel has been broken, the attitude of both these countries is different from the rest of the Arab countries. The official statement of these two countries is indicating that this time they stand in support of Israel on the attack by Hamas.

The UAE took a different line from the rest of the Muslim countries

What the UAE said about the Israel-Palestine war is a clear indication that there has been a change in the attitude of the Islamic countries towards Israel.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement issued late on Sunday that Hamas is responsible for the war. Attacks on Israeli cities by the Palestinian group Hamas have been very serious and have caused great tension. The ministry has called for an end to violence and protection of civilians. Hamas has fired thousands of rockets at people and fired heavily. The UAE is alarmed by reports that Israeli citizens have been abducted from their homes and held hostage.

It is also worth noting that the UAE did not make any comments against Israel in its statement. Calling on both sides to end tensions in a statement, the UAE said citizens of all parties should always receive full protection under international humanitarian law and should never be made targets of conflict.

Bahrain also condemned Palestine's Hamas

Like the UAE, Bahrain also established diplomatic relations with Israel under the Abraham Accords in 2020. Bahrain has also condemned the sudden attack by Hamas.

Bahrain has also taken a stand against Hamas over the abduction of Israeli citizens from their homes by Hamas militants. Arab countries have emphasized ending the fighting through diplomacy.

On Monday, Bahrain's foreign ministry issued a statement saying that the situation has become dangerously tense due to the attacks by Hamas. Bahrain condemns the abduction of Israeli citizens from their homes and holding them hostage, the statement said. The statement called for immediate efforts to stop the fighting.

For this fight of both sides, all Muslim countries, except UAE and Bahrain, took the side of Palestine and said that this attack has started against the atrocities of Israel.
