Terrorist came near DSP's car and detonated it, DSP on duty also died in the attack
Karachi: A terrorist attack took place in a mosque in Pakistan's Balochistan province. In the suicide attack, the terrorist came with explosives wrapped around his body and detonated in the mosque among people present for Friday prayers as well as Eid celebrations. In this attack, 55 people were killed and more than 100 were injured. The attack took place near Madina Masjid in Mastung District.
Muhammad Prophet Sahib's birth anniversary was being celebrated in Madina Masjid of Mastung district in Balochistan province of Pakistan. A large number of people were present at the mosque to participate in the Friday prayers as well as the celebrations. Just then a Suicide Bomber struck by wrapping explosives in his body. A suicide bomber detonated a horrific blast near DSP's car. The DSP's car was overturned within seconds and DSP Nawaz Gashkori, who was on duty in view of the rally, also died on the spot. Besides the dead, many people were injured.
The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
A city police official said hundreds of people had flocked to the Madina Mosque on Al Falah Road. The attacker struck on this holy day when Eid-Milad un Nabi was being celebrated. This suicide bomber also blew himself up with this. As the condition of many of the injured was very critical, there were fears that the death toll would increase.
No terrorist organization has claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack, but IS terrorists are likely to have carried out the attack. Pakistan's counter-terrorism department killed an IS commander in Mastung district. It is being feared that the attack was carried out to take revenge. The caretaker chief minister of Balochistan province, Ali Mardan Domki, ordered immediate action against those responsible and declared a three-day emergency in the state.
This is the second attack in Mastung district in the last 15 days. A similar attack had taken place earlier, in which 11 people were killed. This district is a target of terrorists. There was a major attack in 2018, in which 128 people died. After that the attacks continue.
