Chennai, September 6, 2023, Wednesday

While conflicts have increased in the world due to wealth and Religion, there lives a Village in India where religion and wealth are of no importance. The surprising thing is that in this city there is no place for any kind of tension, controversy and nonsense. The name of this city is Oravila, which evokes the imagination of heaven. This place is located 150 km away from the important city of South India, Chennai.

Oroville city was established in 1968. Auroville is also known as the City of Dawn. The purpose of establishing Auroville was to free people from caste and caste discrimination. All the people living here consider themselves as servants. He does not belong to any religion. Any man can come and stay here but he has to stay only as a servant. People from more than 50 countries live in Auroville.

The population of this village is about 24 thousand. There is only one temple in Auroville village which is not associated with any religion. People come to this religious place and do yoga only. Auroville has been recognized as a global village by UNESCO. Government of India also supports this unique city. It is natural to think how and by whom this city was founded.

Auroville does not belong to any individual but to all who believe in humanity. It was established by Mataji Meera Alfasa as a project of Aurobindo Society. Mataji's wish was for such a global city for human welfare. When the city was founded, representatives from 124 countries attended, declaring that Auroville is a monument to all humanity.
