The district administration has taken action after it came to light that Pakistan Zindabad Slogans were raised from the audience gallery during AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi's speech in a meeting organized by AIMIM regarding the Dumri assembly by-election. The video recorded during the speech was observed by the video observation team on the direction of DC and SP of the district.

An attempt to disturb communal harmony by this act

Subsequently, an FIR under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code and Representation of People Act has been lodged by Flying Squad Dumri in Dumri police station against AIMIM candidate Abdul Mobin Rizvi, party leader Muzaffar Hasan Noorani and other unidentified persons. The administration has issued a press statement in this regard. According to the administration, a perusal of the video revealed that the act was a violation of the model code of conduct and an attempt to disturb communal harmony.

Slogans raised in AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's meeting

On the other hand, Dumri police station in-charge Pawan Kumar Singh has also confirmed the FIR. On Wednesday, Aimim Chief Asaduddin Owaisi addressed a public meeting at the KB High School ground in Dumri. Pakistan Zindabad slogans were raised during AIMIM chief Asuddin Owaisi's meeting during the Dumri assembly by-election. A youth from the crowd gathered to hear Owaisi's address raised these slogans. Asuddin Owaisi interrupted his speech and provoked the youth from the stage itself. NDA leaders have also vehemently opposed the raising of Pakistan Zindabad slogans and demanded identification of the culprits and legal action against them.
