26 opposition parties to join two-day 'mahabethak' in Bengaluru from today to formulate 2024 strategy against BJP

Top leaders of the country's opposition parties will join a two-day Mahaekta meet in Bengaluru from Monday to discuss strategies to take on the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Opposition sources hope that 26 parties will be included in this Meeting after the Congress agrees to the Aam Aadmi Party's demand.

Earlier, a meeting was held in Bihar on the invitation of Nitish Kumar

Last month on June 23, only 15 parties attended the opposition meeting in Patna at the invitation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. CPI General Secretary D Raj said that the two-day meeting in Bengaluru would take a step forward in the resolve of the secular opposition parties to defeat the BJP and save the country and democracy.

Top leaders including several Chief Ministers will be involved

Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi may also attend this meeting. Apart from Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, chief ministers of several states including NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Mamata Banerjee of Bengal, Nitish Kumar of Bihar, MK Stalin of Tamil Nadu, Hemant Soren of Jharkhand, Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi and Bhagwant Mann are expected to attend the meeting. Apart from this, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and SP President Akhilesh Yadav will also be in the meeting.

It will begin with Siddaramaiah's banquet

The meeting will begin on Monday with a dinner hosted by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. A formal meeting will be held on Tuesday, where the contours of the grand coalition and future programs may be discussed and announced. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said, this will be a crucial meeting. Several issues will be considered. At the same time, another leader said, after the Bengaluru meeting, our top leaders will announce the next step against the BJP. The BJP's conspiracy to destabilize or control opposition-ruled state governments through governors will also be exposed in this meeting.
