BJP yesterday changed the state presidents of four states including Punjab, Telangana and Jharkhand. This change in organization a few months before the Lok Sabha elections is indicative of BJP's state-wise strategy. Along with this, BJP is now likely to change the state President in 6 more states and the possibility of a major change in the cabinet is also being served.

The presidents of these states can change

The BJP party high command may take a decision on this in the next day or two. The states where the BJP can change the state president include Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka and Kerala. According to information from the sources, several presidents who have resigned may get entry into the government. Madhya Pradesh President VD Sharma can be made Union Minister. He is a Member of Parliament from Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat in the state. A decision may be taken to bring VD Sharma from Madhya Pradesh to Delhi but the final decision on the successor is yet to be taken. Hence the announcement of the replacement of the state president is getting delayed. Names of Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Prahlad Patel, Kailash Vijayvargiya and MP Sumersinh Solanki are being discussed to replace VD Sharma.

Preparing for a major cabinet reshuffle

Along with the change in the organization, the discussions of the change in the cabinet are also going on vigorously. BJP G. Kishan Reddy who was till now the Tourism Minister has been given the responsibility of Telangana State President now he will definitely be replaced by some other leader as Union Minister. Apart from this, some more leaders may be made ministers, while some ministers may return to the organization.
