Moderate to heavy rains in many parts of Rajasthan due to Beeparjoy: Orange alert in many cities


- Rains in Jalorgarh, Shirohi, Mount Abu, Kumbhalgarh and Udaipur besides Barmer, Jaisalmer of Tharparkar desert.

Jaipur: After battering Gujarat, the dangerous Cyclone Biparjoy has moved north towards Rajasthan in the last 24 hours, causing heavy rains in almost the entire state. 210 mm in Mount Abu. 136 mm has rained in Sedwa of Barmer in Tharparkar desert, 135 mm in Mount Abu tehsil. While 110 mm of rain has been received in Raniwada of Jalor Garh area in the south-east of Tharparkar desert, 76 mm in Bidasaria of Churu, 68 mm in Reodar, 59 mm in Sanchor, 57 mm in Pindwara.

According to this information, the Meteorological Department said that 49 mm in Gogunda and Girwa of the state. And 47 mm of rain has been recorded in Jhalor Garh.

In the last 24 hours, Sindri and Jaswantpura of Jhalor district (both) received 46 mm. 40 mm in the gills. 38 mm in Aburod, 34 mm in Kota, 30 mm in Sirohi, 26 mm in Kumbhalgarh and 24.7 mm in Udaipur till 8.30 am today.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Barmer, Jhalor and Pali districts. There 30 to 50 km per hour. Gusty winds are likely.
