Kanker: In Chhattisgarh, a Food Inspector emptied an entire dam and wasted millions of liters of water to find a mobile falling. After suspending this officer, now the water that was wasted will also be recovered. Along with Food Inspector Rajesh Vishwas, SDO R.L. Approximately 53 thousand rupees will be collected from Dhiwar as money for wasted water.
The decision to collect this from the Food Inspector and SDO has been taken by the Water Resources Department. Earlier, the SDO had said that only the food inspector was to blame for the wastage of water, although action has been taken against both officials. Between May 21 and 25 in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, a food inspector went to this dam to enjoy a holiday, during which his mobile phone fell into the dam.
41 lakh liters of water from the entire dam was wasted to find the mobile. With this water, more than two thousand acres of land could be supplied to the farmers. The official ran two 30 HP diesel pumps for three days continuously to remove water from the dam. Currently, the water department of the state has also sent notices to both the officials for recovery of money for wasting water. It has been stated in the notice that the accused officer has to compensate the water within 10 days. Around 53092 rupees will be charged as fine. Now the water from the dam has been emptied, there is a drought-like situation around and the people of the village are struggling for water.
