Rain likely to occur in these states including Delhi amid scorching heat: Meteorological Department

The entire country has been experiencing unremitting heat for the last several weeks. People are facing hot winds from morning to evening in many states of the country including the national capital. Due to which people's problems are also increasing. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature has reached 45 degrees Celsius in many parts of the country. According to the department, rain is likely in most parts of the country on Tuesday.

Chance of rain in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, winds of 40-50 km/hr will blow at some places in Delhi and surrounding areas on Tuesday. Also there is a possibility of rain. Apart from this, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Tuesday, May 16 is expected to be 31 degree Celsius and minimum temperature 26 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Rajasthan reached close to 46 degrees. Apart from this, thunderstorm and normal rain is expected in Bharatpur, Bikaner, Dausa, Jaisalmer, Nagaur, Churu, Sikar, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh districts and surrounding areas of the state on May 16.

Chance of rain

High altitude places of Uttarakhand state Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh are very likely to experience thundershower at isolated places. Apart from this, the weather in the state will remain dry. Rain is also likely in Uttar Pradesh. Nandgaon, Barsana, Raya, Mathura, Pilani, Bhiwadi, Tijara, Khairthal, Kotputali, and surrounding areas of the state are likely to receive moderate rain.

Alert declared for heatwave

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the IMD on Monday, May 15 said that during the next 24 hours, the maximum temperature is likely to increase gradually by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius at some places in the districts of Odisha. The department has issued a heatwave alert at several places in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonpur and Bolangir districts. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert regarding the heat in Maharashtra. Temperatures have touched 42 degrees Celsius in most parts of the state.
