New Delhi: Today, 25 years have passed since the Nuclear Bomb test conducted on 11th May 1998 in Pokhran, Rajasthan's desert region. A total of five tests were conducted near Khetoloi village near the field firing range in Pokhran, two of which were completed two days later on May 13. With this, India was included in the list of countries with nuclear weapons. So every year this day is celebrated as National Technology Day.

After this Nuclear Bomb was tested, then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajayepi himself reached the site of that explosion. India's great scientist and former President A.P.J. India also conducted another test under the leadership of Abdul Kalam. This was the result of knowledge and extraordinary hard work among the country's scientists. Through these explosions, India showed the world that Hum Kisi Se Kam Nahi. The shaft that was created for that was named White-House. The atomic bomb that was exploded was of 58 kg ton strength.

It is worth mentioning that none of the countries in the world, including the United States, had a smell of these explosions.

Dr. Kalam said in an interview that there was a lot of international pressure on India at that time. However, Prime Minister Bajpai was determined. All the countries except Israel turned hostile to India at that time by doing this test. Some countries also imposed various economic sanctions.

Kalam sahib said that dreams are not what come during sleep. Dreams are those that do not let a person sleep.

Before the nuclear bomb blasts on this 11th May (1998) day, the first nuclear bomb was detonated on 18th May 1974 on the directives of the then Prime Minister Idira Gandhi, code-named as Smiling Buddha. When the repeated explosion of 11 May 1998 was named Shakti. Because peace is not possible without power. (It was done so quietly that no one noticed that the Buddha smiled.)
