An encounter broke out between the District Reserve Guard and the Naxalites in Margdai area of Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. In which two Naxalites including a woman were killed. Police has given this information on Monday. Sukma Police said that two Naxalites were killed in the encounter. Search operation is still going on in the area. At present, no further information about this clash has been revealed. In Dantewada-Sukma district, there are frequent reports of clashes between police and Naxalites. In the past days, the Naxalites had targeted the vehicles of the jawans.
The SP of Sukma said that earlier on May 1, the Naxalites set fire to two tipper trucks engaged in construction work in Ittapara area of Sukma district. The incident is from Phulbagdi area. 3 laborers were rescued safely and taken to Phulbagdi station.
Sukma Police said that the search operation is still going on in the area. More Naxalites are likely to be hiding. A major Naxalite attack took place in Dantewada of Chhattisgarh in the past few days. In this attack, 11 DRG personnel were killed while some were injured.
