Security Forces in Jammu and Kashmir have once again foiled a terrorist conspiracy. Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district on Thursday. Police gave this information. A police official said that the encounter took place in Baramulla district. Currently, the security forces have taken over the front. A search operation is being conducted in the area by the security forces.
Ammunition seized
Kashmir Zone Police said that several objectionable materials, arms and ammunition including AK 47 rifle and pistol have been recovered from these terrorists. The security forces have killed the terrorists and confiscated the ammunition found from them. Officials believe that these terrorists were planning to create terror in the valley.
Search operation is in progress
It may be mentioned that two terrorists have been killed in the encounter on Thursday. Now security forces are conducting a search operation in Baramulla area. The entire area has been cordoned off and a search operation is being conducted. An on-the-spot operation is being carried out by the Jammu and Kashmir police and security forces. ADGP of Kashmir said that both are local terrorists, who are reported to be associated with terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. These two terrorists have been identified as Shakir Majid Nazar and Hanan Ahmed Sheh of Shopian district. Both had joined the terror outfit in March 2023 and were trying to spread terror in the Valley. Further investigation is currently underway.
There was an encounter yesterday too
Earlier on Wednesday, two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district. According to police officials, an encounter broke out between militants and security forces near Pichnad Machhil area of Kupwara district on Wednesday morning.
