Benauli (Goa): Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in India on Thursday to attend the meeting of Foreign Ministers in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Foreign Minister of Pakistan is coming for the first time since 2011. Meanwhile, India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held a meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister and stressed on resolving the border dispute to improve bilateral relations.

Bilawal Bhutto's visit to India for the SCO meeting is of great importance as India-Pakistan relations have been strained for the past few years on several issues, including Pakistan's continued promotion of cross-border terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from this, Jaishankar also held a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. He reviewed the India-Russia Special Strategic Partnership relationship in the backdrop of Russia's deteriorating relations with the West over the Ukraine war. The two foreign ministers discussed various issues for about an hour.
