This is a historic moment
Minister of State for Forest and Cultural Affairs and Fisheries Sudhir Mungantiwar said that very high quality teak wood is being shipped from Dandakaranya mentioned in Ramayana and present day Chandrapur. The minister said that around 1,855 cubic feet of wood has been sent to Ayodhya. It will be used in the construction of the main gate of the temple, the gate of the sanctum sanctorum and other gates of the temple. The minister further said that Lord Ram's grandmother Indumati was from Vidarbha region of present day Maharashtra. It is a historic moment when teak wood is being sent from grandmother's birthplace to build grandson's temple.
The construction work of the temple will be completed before the scheduled time
An official of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust said last week that construction work on the Ram temple in Ayodhya is likely to be completed months ahead of schedule. Prakash Gupta, in-charge of the Trust Office at Ram Janmabhoomi, said that we are confident that the construction work of the temple will be completed three months before the scheduled time. We have reduced its deadline from December 2023 to September 2023. The temple will get its final shape in September this year.
