111 years have been completed today since the establishment of Bihar state. In 1912, Bihar came into existence as an independent state after being separated from the province of Bengal. Bihar Day is celebrated by the citizens of the state with great pomp. Prime Minister Modi also greeted the people of Bihar on this occasion.

This year will be celebrated on this theme

Bihar Day will be organized for 3 days in which various programs and competitions will be organized. On this occasion the people of the state relish the famous dishes of Bihar. The slogan 'Youva Shakti Biharni Pragati' has also been decided to celebrate Bihar Day this year. Last year the theme 'Jal Jeevan Hariyali Bihar Divas' was adopted. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar started celebrating this day. Bihar Day was celebrated for the first time in 2010.
