Preparations for Chardham Yatra have started in Uttarakhand. The journey is about to begin soon. This time, preparations are being made to make the journey more convenient. Along with this, the system has made preparations to provide quality and plastic-free Prasad to the devotees in Kedarnath Dham. For this continuous meetings are being held with Self Help Groups and officials at the district level. Registration of Women Self Help Groups in Shri Kedarnath Mahaprasad Autonomous Co-operative Society has been ordered from the Tantra.

The Chief Development Officer said that efforts are being made to ensure that the pilgrims get local prasad of good quality. A committee has also been formed under the chairmanship of District Magistrate for quality, which will facilitate the cooperative union. He said that around 70 self-help groups are still working to make Prasad. Ladoo, incense, Ganga water, ghee and other elements are included in the prasad. This is providing employment to around 250 women.

The Chief Development Officer said that our priority is that every devotee who comes to the Dham takes away a good message from here. Our main focus is to ensure that they get quality Prasad, plastic-free packaging of Prasad. Employment related to the livelihood of local women will expand in the coming time. Special orders have been given to the Food Safety Officer to check the quality of Prasad. He said that plastic will not be used in the packaging of Prasad. Discussions are being held with office bearers of Sri Badrinath-Kedarnath Mandir Committee, Business Association for Prasad distribution.

Last year, more than 15 lakh pilgrims visited Kedarnath Dham. It is estimated that last year's figure will be broken this year. Meanwhile, the system is making preparations. The Kedarnath Yatra aims specifically to provide quality Prasad. Due to which local women are getting employment on the one hand and pilgrims will also take a good message from Devbhoomi.
