Guwahati: A woman in Assam brutally killed her husband and mother-in-law and dismembered them, packed the bodies in a plastic bag and dumped them in a ditch in Meghalaya to erase evidence of the murder. The accused woman carried out this incident with the help of her lover and friend. The murder was committed in August-September last year.
The police found the body parts of the deceased husband's mother on Sunday. Guwahati Police Commissioner Diganta Barah said that the murder took place seven months ago. At present, three accused including the woman, her lover and another have been arrested. Another police officer Diganthkumar Chaudhary said that after the murder, the wife herself filed a false complaint that her husband and mother-in-law were missing. After which we started the investigation. Deceased husband's name is Amarendra Dey and mother's name is Shankari Dey. Some time after the woman's complaint, another family of the deceased filed another complaint, after which the woman became suspicious.
The police officer said that both the cases were lodged in the same police station, the entire Raj was opened by investigating both. During our investigation two murders took place in two different houses in Chandmari and Narengi areas in Guwahati. The murders were committed by Amarendra's wife and his lover and friend together. The third Aripo is a friend of the woman's lover. Currently, only the body parts of the mother-in-law have been found while the police are searching for the body parts of the husband. The accused went from Assam to Meghalaya to dispose of the dead bodies and dumped them in a ditch there. However, it was also kept in a fridge for a few days. Currently, the incidents of killing and dismembering the bodies and keeping them in the fridge are increasing. Earlier, a similar incident has also come up in Delhi.
