- 12 injured were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for treatment

A major road accident took place in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. A bus carrying devotees from Rajouri town in Reasi district to Shiv Khodi temple skidded off the road and plunged into the valley. Two people have died in this accident while 19 others have been injured. Officials said that two people died on the spot. The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

Officials said the accident took place at Tarayth in Ransu area at 12:30 pm when the driver lost control of the bus on a curvy road. According to the information, a woman and a 14-year-old boy have died in this accident while 19 devotees have been injured.

Officials said that the devotees in the bus were going to Shiva Ghodi Gufa Temple from Rajouri on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. He said that rescue operations were started immediately after the accident and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared two people brought dead. Officials said 12 injured have been referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for treatment.
