100 years old temple
The Amaleshwar Mahadev temple was built by the people living there who worked at the lime kilns around 100 years ago. 100 years ago there was a dense forest that people were afraid to go there. Gradually the furnaces were destroyed and the people living there also left and the temple was closed and other people came and settled there. After which the worship of this temple was stopped.
Puja is done for 7 years
This temple was closed years ago as this temple is in a caste special area, a situation of tension arises, while former MLA Bhawani Singh Rajawat and Hindu organizations opened it but heavy police force was deployed so that no tension would arise. The temple, which was opened seven years ago, now opens every Mahashivratri under the supervision of the police, the worship is conducted only under the supervision of the police. A procession is taken out and later the temple is closed.
For 40 years there was no worship in the temple.
This temple remained closed for 40 years, for the last 7 years, continuous worship is being offered at this temple with the efforts of the entire Hindu society including Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal. Only once in the whole year on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival is Jalabhishek performed on the temple of Shivaji and the lock of the temple of Shivaji is opened.
